Featuring: Learning Together Homeschool Group, a North Mississippi Chapter
Today, this homeschool group met together to study the layers of the earth and the geosphere. Using Play-Dough, they formed each layer, one on top of the other. As each layer was created, a reading activity assisted them in understanding the specific layer. The continents’ landmasses were even added to the outer layerā the crust. Once the globe was created, it was gently sliced in half to reveal the defined layers, from the core to the crust.
The kids had a blast doing this! This could be used in the middle school classroom as well. You would be surprised how much fun students would have with this.
Way to go, Learning Together!
