This lesson explores the purposes of the European Union and the relationship between member countries. This lesson includes a PowerPoint introductory presentation (game), reading activity, timeline activity, comparison T-chart, grading rubric, exit cards as well as detailed teacher instructions. Very little preparation is required. A zip file reader is required to open the file.
OBJECTIVES:
- The learner will understand the history and functions of the European Union.
- The learner will create a timeline of events that lead to the development of the European Union.
- The learner will be able to explain the purpose of the European Union.
- The learner will consider why some groups support or oppose the European Union.
