By popular demand, I am working on a Chernbyl Disaster lesson. This lesson will included a self-paced or teacher-directed PowerPoint that you can upload to your Google Drive for easy access and to give permissions to your students to view. Honestly, if you want to remove or add anything to my PowerPoints such as music, and in this case I will be suggesting a song to add to it, I don’t mind. I encourage teachers to modify where needed. Due to copyright restrictions, we cannot embed it into the PowerPoint. We just as that you modify it for you personal classroom needs only and not to distribute it or resell it. That’s all we ask!
The presentation is designed to present one paragraph at a time as not to overwhelm students. They can read at their own pace or the instructor can present one bit of informationat a time — Telling the story of Chernobyl. A listening guide will accompany the PowerPoint presentation and will also include a timeline activity, song analysis and more fun activities. If students are enjoying the lesson; they are learning.
