Brain breaks can be used as transitions, breaks in the middle of an activity, something to raise or lower the energy of the group, team-building activities, and more! It is helpful to use these before fatigue, boredom, distraction, and inattention set in!
Research has indicated that brain breaks can help improve self-efficiency in the learning process. They also improve short-term memory, self-awareness, and the learners’ knowledge.
This can be used and modified for 5th grade through 12th grade depending on your students’ learning ability.
